CASUARINA/NSW (August 17th/2018): Ben Considine (VIC) (17.40 points out of a possible 20 points) fired a huge warning shot across the bow of his opposition this morning in the second semi-final of the Open Men’s Logger division at Cabarita Point on The Tweed.

After locking in several solid scores in the first five minutes of the heat, Considine proceeded to put on a style and flow clinic in the 1-2ft peeling Cabarita set waves, stepping to the nose with ten toes over several times to post a massive heat score sure to put his opposition on high alert.

In semi-final one, Clint Guest (QLD) (12.05 points out of a possible 20 points) and Dane Pioli  (12.85 points out of a possible 20 points) booked their place in the final with Considine and Jared Neal(NSW) (12.55 points out of a possible 20 points) with solid performances.

The Open Men’s Longboard Final was also decided before lunchtime with Nic Jones (QLD) (15.75 points out of a possible 20 points) and Declan Wyton (NSW) (14.25 points out of a possible 20 points) looking like the men to beat when the final gets underway tomorrow.

Tomorrow will see twelve new Australian National Champions crowned at Cabarita Point in Open and age divisions.
